Final Fantasy V Four Job Fiesta (2/2)

5. Chaos/Team 750 run. Jobs were Red Mage, Chemist, White Mage, and Chemist (again).
6. Normal run. Jobs were Blue Mage, Red Mage (AGAIN AAAGH), Beastmaster, and Dragoon.
7. Advance run. Jobs were Thief, Berserker, Ranger, and Oracle.
8. Pure Chaos run. Jobs were Beastmaster, Dragoon, Geomancer, and Mime.

This was super fun, but I am totally burnt out. I wanted to get each class once, but I kept getting pretty bad combinations from my fourth run onward. Maybe next year I'll get Time Mage, Cannoneer, and Necromancer. And maybe even Freelancer.

Final Fantasy V Four Job Fiesta (1/2)

I'm done with Four Job Fiesta for this year. I managed to do eight runs.

1. Advance Run/Fifth Job/Berserker Risk run. Jobs were Blue Mage, Berserker, Dragoon, and Gladiator
2. Pure Chaos run. Jobs were Mystic Knight, Summoner, Thief, and White Mage.
3. Normal run. Jobs were Knight, Red Mage, Ninja, and Samurai.
4. Pure Chaos run. Jobs were Monk, Berserker, White Mage, and Blue Mage.

Video games, Xenoblade

I have the whole collection :D

I'm doing a bit of experimentation here: this bracelet is a very cheap, basic bracelet. Rough calculations are I can sell this for about $3.00 and have it be worth it, as long as I charge for shipping.

So we'll see how this goes. I've added a listing with a price of $5.99, but with a sale through this weekend of 50% off. So we'll see if anyone buys this. It's about as cheap as I can make a bracelet and might be a way to get rid of these wooden and plastic beads I have sitting around.

Video games, Linux

"I wish this game ran in Linux"

"use a real OS like Windows if you want to play it stop complaining lol who even uses Linux, Windows is the true gaming OS"

I see this stuff way too often :blobrollingeyes:โ€‹

I decided to make an asexual pride bracelet today in a sort of honeybee or yellowjacket inspired style. ๐Ÿ™‚

To be clear, I'm *not* ace; I actually chose ace pride colors because I was looking for something to use the color yellow for and thought the ace pride colors looked complimentary.

I just listed some new jewelry on my shop... kinda. This is all jewelry I made just before I temporarily closed my shop when the COVID-19 situation was starting to get serious. It includes my first ever polyam pride bracelet, a bi pride bracelet, a trans pride bracelet, and an LGBTQ+ pride bracelet. ๐Ÿ™‚

Sanism, long

I kind of feel like attempts to stop certain people (transgender and gay people) from being classed as mentally ill, while technically the right decision, were motivated by an attempt to address the sanism felt by neurotypical people in these groups without addressing sanism itself.

When you think about it that way, redefining "Gender Identity Disorder" as "Gender Dysphoria" and stop classifying it as a mental disorder was a way of advancing trans rights while continuing to throw mentally ill people under the bus.

I do think that it's incorrect to define gender and sexual attraction as a mental disorder, so reclassifying made sense; it's more accurate language. But I think it's disgusting that the motivation for doing so seems to have been not seeking more correct language, but allowing neurotypical trans people to be unaffected by perpetuating continued sanism.

I think it's high time sanism is addressed head-on rather than extracting people who are being paid attention to out of the "mentally ill" classification. There is no shame in being mentally ill and it's high time society recognizes that.

And there's good news: the fight for acceptance of may finally be the cure we've been needing for so long. It's largely focused on , but unlike with trans people, it's generally been a struggle for acceptance of mental illness as a whole. The terms "neurodivergent" and "neurodiverse" are inclusive, not extractive.

I think that this is what we need. And we have a long long way to go, but I am hopeful that progress can finally be made after demonizing mentally ill people for so long.

CW meta, current events, long, god I'm exhausted

I've been fairly active with blocking people who don't seem to get this but sometimes stuff still slips through the cracks and god dammit it's getting really exhausting to deal with

I keep seeing the argument that "black people shouldn't have to CW things related to their experience as black people" and like. No. That's not how it works. I'm not saying that blackness needs a CW. If some people are, which doesn't match my experience but of course it wouldn't because I'm white, then they're absolutely being assholes and they have no place in a community that seeks to be welcoming to black people.

What I AM saying is that discussion of current events needs a CW. Yes, the current Black Lives Matter movement is obviously about black people, but it's not THAT that makes it need a CW. People have been asking for CWs for Covid-19 related stuff too. It's the fact that they're current events, everyone is talking about them (which is a fantastic thing!!!), and this makes life difficult for some people.

The key point here is that CWing your current events does NOT limit your message. It doesn't make less people see it. People who are ignoring these topics will continue to do so. The only thing it does is screw over people with mental illnesses who can't handle this without mental preparation. Good job, you reached exactly 0 extra people and you gave someone an anxiety attack. Hope you're proud of yourself.

CWs are an accessibility tool, not a silencing tool. If people are asking for CWs, that's not censorship, that's like them saying "Hey, if you take two seconds to do this extra thing I can engage with this and spread the message around too". And if you insist that these people can just mute you and use keyword filters, again, congratulations, you've just REDUCED the number of people that will see your message.

As a final note, to all those who are righteously angry and aggressively pushing for change without shoving your mentally ill friends under the bus: thank you. You're all awesome, your efforts are working, and I hope this movement will keep pushing forward with people like you.

I just put up this a listing on my shop for this set, a pirate-themed trans pride necklace with a matching bracelet. I made this the other day by modifying a pirate-themed necklace I had previously made, adding another thread for the trans pride colors.

:qhTrans:๐Ÿดโ€โ˜ ๏ธ

You know which ones of your friends are racists behind closed doors.

You know which one of your buddies starts shit with Black folks because the enjoy causing chaos but has all the right terms and language in their bios.

Y'all know how these people are.

Until that shit is brought to light, the fedi will maintain its reputation for being anti black no matter how many links to indie hip hop artist one posts.

Until that happens, I'm not interested.

Introduction, very long, spiders

Time for a new since I'm switching instances again. ๐Ÿ˜…

So! I'm a neurodivergent, highly sapphic pansexual, relationship anarchist (polyam) trans girl.

I'm a FLOSS ; some of my personal projects include Hexoshi and ReTux. I'm also the maintainer of Project: Starfighter and a regular contributor to Naev. I have a separate account for talking about / announcing my gamedev activities: @diligentcircle@fosstodon.org

I am also a jewelry maker! I make bracelets and necklaces. I post photos of jewelry I've made on another separate account: @diligentcircle

(Both of those accounts are new as of this writing.)

I'm an exclusive Linux user and have been for years now. The last time I had Windows installed on any computer I owned would have been around 2012. ๐Ÿ˜›

I'm a big fan of spicy food! My favorite kind of food is Thai style food, and at Thai places I always get the hottest spice they have. I also like Mexican-style stuff and taco meat is the only thing I know how to season properly (I learned so I could make taco meat sugar-free).

I like various anime and cartoons, though I don't consider myself a big anime geek. Some of my favorite series include The Promised Neverland, Samurai Jack, HUNTERร—HUNTER, Courage the Cowardly Dog, Dragon Ball, The Powerpuff Girls, Teen Titans, etc.

I'm also gradually (very painfully slowly) reading Death Note and One-Punch man. ๆ—ฅๆœฌ่ชžใ‚’็ทด็ฟ’ใ—ใŸใ„ใ—ใ€I'm reading both in Japanese. ๏ผˆใ†ใ‚“ใ€ๆ—ฅๆœฌ่ชžใ‚‚่ฉฑใ›ใ‚‹ใ‚“ใ ใ‚ˆใ€‚ใพใ ไธ‹ๆ‰‹ใ™ใŽใ‚‹ใ‘ใฉใญใ€‚๏ผ‰ Reading those is pretty much the only practice in the Japanese language I ever get, but I'm honestly thrilled I'm able to read anything at all after so many years of not being able to understand much of anything.

Last, but not least, I'm a massive, huge spider fangirl. ๐Ÿ•ท๏ธ I love spiders. If I was an animal, I would be a cute, adorable little spider-chan friend. ๐Ÿ˜Š I love spiders so much that I actually sleep with an adorable, soft, and cuddly tarantula plushie. If I had the means to take care of a pet, I would seriously consider adopting a real tarantula. Since I can't, I just admire the lovely little creatures that skitter around the house.

And that's about it! Plz be nice. :3

Electricity has been off in half of my apartment for the past 24 hours. It's all fixed now!

If you want to support me for whatever reason, I have paypalme and kofi links set up.

I don't currently need help, just redrafting the post to pin it again because the links got broken. Preferably donate to like bail funds or homeless people or something instead.

jewelry, rel (+), a bit gushy

I've just repaired my favorite bracelet: a decoder bracelet accompanying secret message bracelets I gave to my partners at the time, including the wonderful @autumn, whose bracelet you can see right next to mine as I hold their hand. โค๏ธ

I love you so so very much, sweetie! ๐Ÿฅฐ

Spiders, long

For all the negative reputation they get, black widow spiders are actually beautiful creatures.

The widow spider guards a delicate, intricate web of silk that it uses to catch insects for food. It has poor eyesight, but can feel even the slightest twitch of its web. When one widow spider wants to mate with another widow spider, it plays a delicate tune on the other spider's web, letting the other spider know that it is not food, but a fellow spider who is in love.

When attacked, the spider avoids confrontation as much as possible by playing dead. Like nearly all spiders, the widow spider is afraid of us larger animals and just wants to be left at peace. Only in the most dire circumstance, when it is a matter of life and death for the spider, will it use its venomous bite designed for insects on a large animal defensively, in the hope that it can scurry away and live another day. Unlike most spiders, the widow spider is able to hurt these larger animals with its venom, but it very rarely kills - the large animal, such as us, is a far greater risk to the spider than the spider is to us.

So please, don't have any animosity for these beautiful, misunderstood creatures. I admire the intricacy of their webs, the delicacy of their touch, and their impenetrable will to live. They truly are amazing.
